The Associates of Spiritual Fraternity are lay Catholics who desire to share the spirituality and the mission of the Sisters of Charity. They declare themselves as Lay Associatesof the Spiritual Fraternity of the Sisters of Charity through a public act of consecration which is renewed every year. As members of Spiritual Fraternity, they undertake to live the Christian discipleship from the perspective of the spirituality of the Sisters of Charity. Accordingly they pledge themselves to cultivate a life of prayer, participate in the mission of the Congregation and promote its Charism. Our Spiritual Fraternity group (Mea Group) at Capitanio Convent, Coimbatore was started on 21st November 2001, with 12 members. At present they are 20 in number. And our Spiritual Fraternity group (Mea Group) at Gerosa Nilayam, Gudalur was started on 28th October 2007, with 16 members. At present they are 25 in number. It was started at Christhu Bhavan, Anthoniar Nagar on 22nd February 2017, with 19 members, at Fatima Convent, Gudalur on 18th August 2018, with 15 members and at Mea Illam, Pillaithope on 1st November 2018, with 20 members. They meet once a month, to pray together, to share and to plan together to execute the works of mercy more effectively. They are actively involved in visiting the sick in the hospitals and homes, orphanages and homes for the aged. They also give some material helps to the poor students, by providing them uniforms and books. During Christmas and Easter, they also reach out to some poor families, providing them the necessary things. We are grateful to our associates for their generosity and selfless service.
